Why it is important to help develop and support your colleagues so that they can work effectively and efficiently and the benefits to your organization?

Why it is important to help develop and support your colleagues so that they can work effectively and efficiently and the benefits to your organization?
It is important to help develop and support your colleagues to help them learn new skills, to build their confidence, to pinpoint areas where training may be needed, if they are working effectively and efficiently it will help promote your business as productivity will be up, time and energy wastage will be at a minimum. If colleagues know their jobs then there is less likely a chance of problems occurring within the office which could lead to disharmony, the term "knowledge is power" is antiquated in a team environment, knowledge should be shared so the team can work well together, learn from each other and respects each other's views and ideas. Remember you are only as good as the team beneath you.

Roles of men in the 1900s?

Roles of men in the 1900s?
1900's is a pretty broad range in terms of the role of males and the idea of male 'dominance' in society. For something like the early 1900's though, much of the work required and the jobs available at the time required more manual labour rather than pure skills in a certain field, as the industrial age was really still taking shape and form in many countries and creating these types of jobs.
So basically in early 1900's it was the men who went out and did the hard work, while the women stayed home and did the knitting, cooking and the washing - a common stereotype even nowadays, but one that certainly applied to most, if not all women living in that age. Of course, as the decades went by this changed as women rights were integrated into the system, but back then males were really seen as the head of society - the females being the people on the side that took care of the mundane tasks.

What is the tax treatment of a non qualified annuity?

What is the tax treatment of a non qualified annuity?
Please clarify what country you are talking about. Different countries have different tax laws.

Taxation rules for a nonqualified annuity owned by individuals subject to United States tax jurisdiction are contained in Internal Revenue Service Publication 17.

A nonqualified annuity is funded with after tax dollars and accordingly the tax basis for all contributions is zero. Any contract gains made above the tax basis are generally taxed at ordinary income tax rates.

The primary advantage of a nonqualified annuity is the benefit of allowing savings to grow on a tax deferred basis. In an ordinary savings or stock account all realized capital gains, dividends, and interest are taxed on a yearly basis. In a nonqualfied annuity account gains can compound tax free over time until funds are withdrawn.

Different tax rules apply depending on whether the annuity holder takes a withdrawal or an annuitization payment.
When a withdrawal is made from a nonqualified annuity gains are considered to be distributed first and will be fully taxable. For example, an individual holding a nonqualified annuity with an account balance of $200,000 consisting of $150,000 of after tax contributions and $50,000 in gains would owe ordinary income tax on $50,000 of a $70,000 withdrawal. The remaining $20,000 would be tax free since it represents part of the cost basis comprised of after tax contributions.
When an owner of a nonqualfied annuity chooses to receive annuity payments each year part of the payment will be comprised of a tax-free return of his basis and part taxable gain. The rules can become very complex and exceptions to the general rule cited above exist for contracts issued prior to August 14, 1982.

In addition to possible taxation of withdrawals a penalty tax of 10% is assessed on money withdrawn before the age of 59 1/2.
If the account owner dies with gains in the nonqualified annuity the beneficiary will inherit the tax basis of the decedent and owe ordinary income taxes on the distribution of any gains.

Want to see my dead fathers will but the executor wont let me what do i do?

Want to see my dead fathers will but the executor wont let me what do i do?
Your father's will was filled with the court when the estate was opened (if the estate isn't opened yet - then nobody has been appointed executor). Such documents are public records in most states. The estate was probably filed in the county where your father was living at the time of his death.

Except for tiny rural counties, most courts have these documents online and you can access them through the court's website. If they don't have online access, you can go to the courthouse and look at it or hire a lawyer to get it for you.

WARNING, as an attorney, I find it very suspicious that the executor will not give a copy of the will to a child of the deceased. After you get a copy of the will (or if you can't get one) I would recommend that you speak with a local lawyer who's experienced in probate. You should also be aware that there are strict deadlines in these matters and "if you snooze, you lose."

What is included in information systems?

What is included in information systems?

Management information systems (MIS) are used to help companies review business information and make decisions. An MIS exists outside the regular technological system because the MIS combines many parts of business information to aid managers. Internal and external information is gathered through the MIS for management to use when reviewing business operations. Definition

A Management Information System (MIS) is the method a company uses to obtain reliable information regarding their business operations. The MIS should not be concerned with can the information be retrieved but how and what should be retrieved so management can make effective decisions. Once information is provided through the MIS, decisions can be made regarding the effectiveness of business operations. Proper MIS reporting utilizes the best technology and enhances information flow from each department in the company.  Technology

Many MIS systems contain a technological piece that helps management gather information quickly and accurately regarding each division in the company. Internal information is gathered using the current information technology used in the company; external information is gathered using the MIS, which uses technology to obtain external information relevant to company operations. Both sources of information will be used to review company operations and make company decisions.  Project Management

Some companies will create special project management positions to aid in developing their MIS for decision making. Project managers will learn how information can best be gathered and reported in the company for management. Information is only relevant if it can be gathered in a timely manner and contains information that management will find useful in decision making. Project managers will review all aspects of a company for how to best gather information for the MIS.  System Administration

Once the project managers have completed their research, the MIS will be implemented into the decision making system. System administrators are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the system and ensuring that the information continues to flow through the MIS. Administrators will also review the MIS and discover if any new information should be included in the MIS flow. Administrators will also help communicate decisions from management to each department in the company that needs to improve or expand operations.  Decision System

A decision system is the process company management uses upon reviewing the information gathered by the MIS. Making decisions is critical to a company's success and future growth opportunities. Decision systems are designed according to the management style of the company and how many managers will participate in the decision process. Allowing more managers to participate in the decision helps create a strong consensus from the reported information, ensuring a greater success from each decision.  Increase Productivity

Outside of increasing the effectiveness of management decisions, an MIS is built to increase the overall productivity of the company. Better information allows for companies to change inefficient operations and improve production methods and service functions. Increasing productivity helps companies

Why are compound interest bonds better than simple interest bonds?

Why are compound interest bonds better than simple interest bonds?
Imagine you have 2 different types of bonds:

Compound:

Let's say bond value is 100 and you get 4% quarterly interest on this investment.
Your bond value after one quarter will be:

Bond Value=100
Interest Earned: 4%=4

Total Value=104

After 2nd quarter, the bond value would be:

Opening Value from quarter 1=104
Interest Earned: 4%=4.16

Total Value=108.16

After 3rd quarter, the bond value would be:

Opening Value from quarter 1=108.16
Interest Earned: 4%=4.33

Total Value=112.49

After 4th quarter(or after a year), the bond value would be:

Opening Value from quarter 1=112.49
Interest Earned: 4%=4.50

Total Value=116.99

Simple

Bond Value=100
Interest Earned=16%(because it's 4% per quarter and there are 4 quarters in a year)
=16

Total Bond Value=116

so bond value after a year is more under Compound than it is under Simple interest bond.
The reason is because simple interest is calculated on one single figure while compound interest is calculated over the opening figure of month, quarter or year.
So compound interest gives more interest income and hence it's better than simple interest bond.

What is the purpose of hedging in global money market?

What is the purpose of hedging in global money market?
Assuming that you mean currency hedging - it is to make extra money! By pricing a transaction in one currency or the other, you are in essence gambling that you know which way the currency rate will go.Example: I want to buy $100 of Philippine mangoes, which buys 500 mangoes. The Dollar today is worth a bit over 54 Pesos (fractions ignored). If I make the deal in US dollars, I know my expense will be $100, and I will get 500 mangoes for them. If I want, I can lock in those values today. If I think the Philippine Peso will be going down in value, I can price those 500 mangoes at 5400 Pesos at close of transaction. If that time comes and the I can now get 65 Pesos for each US dollar, then divide 65 into 5400 means I spend only a bit over 83 US dollars for the same amount of mangoes.Realize that it is a gamble - guess wrong and it could also make those mangoes much more expensive!

What is a forecasting budget?

What is a forecasting budget?
It is used to get an idea of what a comforcasted budgetpany might expect to earn in a fiscal year. You take last years expenses, increased by any percentage that you think they might go up, also include any new expenses you expect to incur. Then take the years expected revenue, usually last years plus projected growth, and subtract the expenses. The difference is projected profit. All of this combined is a forcasted budget

A forecasting budget can be both annual and more frequent. Generally an annual budget is prepared in order to determine if the organisation is progressing as expected. A more frequent cash flow budget should be prepared to ensure that the organisation is able to meet current obligations as they fall due, and they are progressing effectively in regard to cash flows.

What is load shedding?

What is load shedding?
Load shedding was implemented to save money. It also saves pollution.

Load shedding is what electric utilities do when there is a huge demand for electricity that exceeds the generation available. The alternative is to have a brown-out where the voltage is reduced.

It costs a lot to have generators standing by just in case there is a surge of demand, and the operators of those generators expect to be paid whether they run the generators or not. An alternative is if there is a large consumer of electricity (say, a factory) that could suddenly turn off all its electricity demand, they could agree to do that on request, and it has the same benefit as adding that amount of generation to the electric grid. In fact, it's better -- as there is less demand on the wires which are often saturated at the same time.

That factory has losses from shutting down its equipment and idling its workers, but if the money it gets paid is enough, then it's worth it. This is a perfect example of load shedding.

There are many other cases where lots of smaller consumers agree to reduce demand on hot summer days, such as by reducing air conditioning or lighting.

Someone who aggregates all these smaller cases can have the same effect as one big generator and so get the same money, and the operators of the electric grid are happy as it effectively solves the peak demand problem.

Pollution can be reduced by load-shedding as well. Often, the generators that you run as a last resort are the least efficient and most polluting. If you don't need to run those because you saved energy elsewhere for the few hours of highest power demand, we all win.

Is every positive integer the sum of two distinct positive odd integers?

Is every positive integer the sum of two distinct positive odd integers?
No. You can't derive 2 or any odd number from the sum of 2 positive odd integers. You can't get 2 because you would be forced to add 1 with 1. Which isn't distinct, and you can't get an odd number at all since both the other numbers are odd. Say the first one is of the form 2n+1 and the second is 2m+1. (2n+1)+(2m+1)=2n+2m+2=2(m+n+1) which has to be even.

How could someone keep from losing their money?

How could someone keep from losing their money?
If you mean losing it in the sense of value, investing in gold, silver and other precious metals is a good option. Investing (...at least a part of your assets) in precious metals will go a long way toward protecting and growing your wealth.

With ongoing currency debasement occurring in the U.S. and around the world, gold and silver (...and other metals like platinum, palladium and copper) offer the only refuge. Since 2001, gold has risen from $275/oz to its current price of around $1420/oz. Silver has experienced tremendous gains in the last couple of years as well.

Much of the same circumstances that existed in the 1970s are in play again today. Massive government and consumer debt coupled with a continuation of excessive government spending in both foreign and domestic affairs. Gold began the 70s at $35/oz and ended the decade at $850/oz. In today's dollars, that's around $2300/oz!!

How can one differentiate an entrepreneurial firm from any other type of firm?

How can one differentiate an entrepreneurial firm from any other type of firm?
This paper sets out definitions of the entrepreneur, entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial activity for the purpose of supporting the development of related indicators. The paper recognises the long history in this area and the contention and differences that have existed, and that continue to exist, between academics who have confronted this issue over the last two centuries. As such it deliberately adopts a more pragmatic approach based on two principles - relevance and measurability - resulting in definitions that are developed from both a bottom-up and top-down approach. Importantly the definitions emphasise the dynamic nature of entrepreneurial activity and focus attention on action rather than intentions or supply/demand conditions. The paper concludes with a simple taxonomy of entrepreneurial activity based on the value created and
captured by the entrepreneur.

What is machine bureaucracy?

What is machine bureaucracy?
Machine Bureaucracy

The design of a machine bureaucracy tends to be as follows:highly specialised, routine operating tasks;very formalised procedures in the operating core;a proliferation of rules, regulations, & formalised communication;large-sized units at the operating level;reliance on the functional basis for grouping tasks;relatively centralised power for decision making;an elaborate administrative structure with sharp distinctions between line and staff.
Because the machine bureaucracy depends primarily on the standardization of its operating work processes for coordination, the technostructure emerges as the key part of the structure
Machine bureaucratic work is found, in environments that are simple and stable. Machine bureaucracy is not common in complex and dynamic environments because the work of complex environments can not be rationalized into simple tasks and the processes of dynamic environments can not be predicted, made repetitive, and standardized
The machine bureaucracies are typically found in the mature organizations, large enough to have the volume of operating work needed for repetition and standardization, and old enough to have been able to settle on the standards they wish to use
The managers at the strategic apex of these organizations are mainly concerned with the fine-tuning of their bureaucratic machines. Machine bureaucracy type structures are "performance organizations" not "problem solving" ones.

How do you treat work-in-progress in cost sheet?

How do you treat work-in-progress in cost sheet?
Work in Progress cost control is by nature compared to a budget set for that project.
Now if you don't have a budget it may be be3cause:
1) You don't have all the elements of the project worked out beforehand
2)You don't have a databank that would help you estimate the time, machine and labor cost to carry out the project.

Th remedy of both is:
1) To work out the elements that needs to be done preferaably in sequence.
2 Use a system like "successive calculation" to work the prelimonary estimate --a fast method of working the cost-plan/budget into yoiur budget and adjust as you ngo along.
To work the above into fruition a combination of spreadsheets and a progress-plan needs to be adhered to.

The above ois the guide-line and I can elaborate upon equest.
The basic philosophy is of course "balancing" the budget set-aside for any project.

It is a result of atmospheric instability. These clouds can form alone, in clusters, or along a cold front in a squall line. They create lightning through the heart of the cloud. Cumulonimbus clouds form from cumulus clouds (namely from cumulus congestus) and can further develop into a supercell, a severe thunderstorm with special features. The downdraft is the rainy area to the right.Cumulonimbus clouds usually form from cumulus clouds at a much lower height, thus making them, like cumulus clouds, grow vertically instead of horizontally, thus giving the cumulonimbus its mushroom shape. The base of a cumulonimbus can be several miles across, and it can be tall enough to occupy middle as well as low altitudes; though formed at an altitude of about 3,000 to 4,000 meters (10,000 to 13,000 feet), its peak can reach up to 23,000 meters (75,000 feet)[citation needed] in extreme cases. Typically, it peaks at a much lower height (usually up to 5,000 meters / 16,500 feet).[verification needed]. Well-developed cumulonimbus clouds are also characterized by a flat, anvil-like top (anvil dome), caused by straight line winds at the higher altitudes which shear off the top of the cloud, as well as by an inversion over the thunderstorm caused by rising temperatures above the tropopause. This anvil shape can precede the main cloud structure for many miles, causing anvil lightning. This is the tallest of the clouds. This cloud may be green depending on the area. Most storm cells die after about 20 minutes, when the precipitation causes more downdraft than updraft, causing the energy to dissipate. If there is enough solar energy in the atmosphere, however (on a hot summer's day, for example), the moisture from one storm cell can evaporate rapidly-resulting in a new cell forming just a few miles from the former one. This can cause thunderstorms to last for several hours. This multicell cloud structure exists until cold downdraft preceding cumulonimbusMR. Which Enhima And Dr. Johns

Why output impedence should be low?
Never heard the word "impedence".

To get all the audio voltage from a source to a target without loss you need voltage bridging, that is a relative low output impedance to a higher input impedance. Usualy the input impedance is at least ten times higher then the output impedance.

Why are people protesting Oakland?

Why are people protesting Oakland?
There is much confusion among financial executives as to what point the Oakland and other Occupy protesters are trying to make.

The Occupy people cannot seem to express it this way, but for the top 1% here is what it is about: Their issue is what economists call "moral hazard" (when one person takes a risk in search of a big reward but someone else is burdened by any negative consequences). Heads I win, tails you lose. It does not seem fair.

Lots of Wall Streeters got huge bonuses when their bets were looking good but did not lose any of those bonuses when it turned out the bets had actually been bad. Instead, taxpayers and ordinary company stockholders (401Ks, IRAs etc.) took the losses.

What is variable annuity and there sub-accounts?

What is variable annuity and there sub-accounts?
A variable annuity is a contract with an insurance company that guarantees payments for life. Variable annuities include the option to invest in a wide variety of different asset classes known as subaccounts which can consist of different stock and/or bond portfolios.
The payments from a variable annuity can fluctuate up or down based on the performance of the assets held in the subaccounts chosen.
Variable annuities can offer different payment guarantees based on the terms of the contract. For example, if the purchaser of a variable annuity thinks there is a risk of poor performance in the subaccounts chosen it is possible to receive a guarantee of a minimum income payment in return for the payment of a fee.
The benefit of investing in a variable annuity is the opportunity for growth in the benefit payment if the underlying subaccounts perform well. By contrast, investors in a fixed income annuity have the security of a guaranteed payment for life or a fixed period of time but may suffer due to a loss of purchasing power. Diversification is one of the golden rules of investing which is why many financial advisers recommend putting some of your money into both variable and fixed income annuities.

What is the root of all money?

What is the root of all money?
Technically the root of all money is a tree since all money is printed on paper made from wood pulp (excluding coins obviously).

But honestly, the root of all money is in short the Fed (or the Federal Reserve System), which is the central banking agency in the United Stated.

The Federal Reserve System is supposed to print our money in the US, which is backed (supposedly) by silver and gold, but that is a common misconception. There is no gold, and no silver backing up the USD (United States Dollar).

The problem is worse then you may think. For every dollar bill it costs $0.25 cents to make. With that knowledge you can now put this sequence together: You borrow $100.00, you get five $20 dollar bills, you are charged interest on all five bills and realistically you are paying back over $100 now that really was worth $0.125. Do you see the problem?

The Fed is one giant
Ponzi scheme!

Who is Creative Director Atlantic Records in NY?

Who is Creative Director Atlantic Records in NY?
Seems that creative and Atlantic records don't go hand in hand. They have no idea how to launch or support any new artist. They stay with the same ol' same ol'. They need to get some balls and get some new music out. Somebody has to tell them not everybody likes rap or hip-hop. CREATIVE? They haven't proven they are creative at all. Although there is a market for rap and such, they need to get some new sounds from new artists out. As an ol' musician I can't even listen to radio any more. Thank goodness for sirius radio where other record lables release stuff from new and interesting artists. I'm sure Atlantic has fresh new artists, get some balls and get them out! Or hire somebody that will.

Please Explain what is the shape of profit for example if a company has made a profit of 1000 usd then where is this 1000 usd in balance sheet.is it true that net working capital is financed by profi?
the answer is partially correct. retained earinngs does finance net working captial.working capital is financed by both sources first with internal sources such as retained earning and with long term external sources such as equity, debt or bank borrowingProfit can be in a variety of places on the balance sheet. It may go into retained earnings on the Stockholder's equity side, it might be paid out in dividends, or go right into cash and accounts receivable on the asset side. A better way to find out the profit of a company is to take a look at their Profit-and-Loss statement (also called an income statement). Here you will find a very detailed picture of how a company generated revenue, spent revenue, and the end picture (profit or loss).

Working capital as very little to do with profit. Working capital is current assets minus current liabilities. It is a measure of the liquidity of a business. It would be more correct to say that working capital is funded by revenue, although a business simply doing business contributes to working capital.

Why is it important for a salesperson to anticipate a buyers concerns and objections?

Why is it important for a salesperson to anticipate a buyers concerns and objections?
Think about the last time you bought something, whether from a life insurance salesman at the kitchen table or a new car at a dealership, or even a new calling plan for your mobile phone.
You expect the salesperson to know their product, understand how they compare to a competitors offering, and know how to answer in a way that educates rather than lectures.

Prospective buyers will talk themselves out of a purchase if their objection makes more sense than your answer. As salespeople, we have a duty to put ourselves in a buyer's shoes and understand why there might be an objection on price, features, coverage, contract language, and be ready to listen, acknowledge the concern and ask the buyer questions to reveal the true objection to moving forward.

How did industrilzation transform society?

How did industrilzation transform society?
The Industrial Revolution in America brought great change to a society that had mainly thrived off of an agricultural lifestyle. Advances and developments of new technologies changed the way that Americans lived. The driving force behind the American Industrial Revolution is said to be a man named Samuel Slater. In the late 1700s Slater opened the first industrial mill. This idea was borrowed from Great Britain and brought to America by Slater. The introduction of the mill to the US made the process of spinning thread into yarn much faster and much more efficient than the method of spinning yarn by hand with a loom. The Industrial Revolution made a great impact on American society. It was the time period where hand-made products were replaced by factory and machine made products. It changed the nature of society by making it easier and more efficient to mass-produce goods, thusly making them more accessible and more affordable to the people.

The Industrial Revolution had a great impact on not just society as a whole but on the individual people as well. During this time farmers were introduced to new technologies to make planting, cultivating and harvesting crops easier. They used new tools and methods to increase food production and food quality. For example, they used an invention called seed drills to plant seeds rather than doing it by hand. The Industrial Revolution had a positive impact on farmers because it allowed them to do their job more efficiently than ever before.

At the time of the Industrial Revolution, the lives of the average woman saw great change as well. Traditionally, women were the ones to take care of the household, cook the meals, do the laundry and a number of domestic duties. During the Industrial Revolution the factories opening throughout the country needed workers. Men, already having careers and trades, could not do this. In turn, women started working in the factories and mills. This had advantages for both employee and employer. Women got a glimpse at a life outside of the traditional domestic ideals and submerged themselves into the workforce. As for the employer, women also worked for lower wages than men. This was the start of the idea that women could work outside of the home and have a real career outside of being a mother/wife.

The Industrial Revolution also had a negative impact on certain people. For example, the revolution, although a step forward for America, was not as fruitful for the Native Americans. During the time of the revolution factories, mills and railroads were scattering the country. As a result of this Native Americans were ousted from their homelands in order to make room for these new factories.
Overall the Industrial Revolution made a huge impact on the US and the way of life. It brought women into the workforce, made farming and manufacturing goods easier and more efficient. Though it did impact others in a negative way, The Industrial Revolution was a giant step forward for the United States as a whole.

These risks are typically remedied by using certain financial instruments as a method of counteracting possible ramifications. That is just for him. Whatever shop he works for is going to want to earn money too.

Currently he has been unemployed for over 12 month but he draws around $500 a week from unemployment. So even when he doesn't work, taxpayers in general still pay him through taxes that fund unemployment.
