Rank performance traits leader vs manager?
A leader pulls people; a manager pushes them.A leader is flexible, seeking the best way to get the task accomplished; a manager is rigid, seeking to ensure that the rules are followed "by the book".A leader cares what is right, and doesn't care who is right; a manager cares who is right, and doesn't care what is right.A leader inspires enthusiasm and excitement; a manager creates fear and distrust.A leader never worries about job security - he or she is focused on taking care of the team and getting the job done; a manager worries about job security, and is focused on his or her own future, even if at the expense of team members.

World Lending Services is a legitimate and trusted mortgage lead generation company. They have no customer complaints with the BBB or the Attorney General's office. There are a number of negative blogs on the internet, but one will find that these blogs are all written by the same people...disgruntled former employees who were terminated for theft and embezzlement. World Lending Services is not a lender, not a bank, nor are they a brokerage company. This company is a lead generation company, and minus a bizarre smear campaign waged against this company by disgruntled former employees, it is a legitimate and trusted company.

Productive and compartive advantege in developing countries?
Productive and compartive advantege in developing countries?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparative_advantage
Not really sure what you are asking, but in general developing countries have not achieved economies of scale in most markets and therefore do not have a comparative advantage over other countries producing the same goods. What they sometimes will do is setup a tariff on importing those types of goods from the country with economies of scale so that they can get some more business from within their own country, build up and will in time be able to compete globally. Later they abolish the tariff and hopefully the price of said good goes down for all with another competitor in the marketplace.
I feel like I'm missing something crucial here but I hope it gives you an idea of what you were looking for.

Why Hermes birkin bags are so popular all over the world?
The Birkin bag is popular because it is associated with class. To many, it is a symbol of wealth. These bags are known to be expensive and so difficult to find. To buy such a bag, it is generally believed that there is a waiting list. Contrary to this opinion, Michael Tonello says it is just a marketing ploy, and that you can buy the Birkin bag made by Hermes without a waiting list, if you know how.

Can a business owner file bankruptcy and not include the business.?
Can a business owner file bankruptcy and not include the business.?
If the business is Incorporated as its' own entity, the owner can file BK personally, and only his interest in the business, but not the business itself, is involved. (None of the debts or assets of the business are involved). Perhaps viewing it this way helps: If you only owned a portion of the shares, like any stockholder of say GM or Ford, that investment/asset would be part of your BK, but, certainly it has no effect on those corporations. The shares of stock would go to a creditor. Obviously, in a small business, where there may be no real value to the stock, especially without the owner operator, after closely reviewing and assuring the corporation has no assets that are really the owners or value attributable to the owner, the court may feel there is no benefit to any creditor by claiming the stock and let it continue.
Or the Business can file BK and it doesn't effect his personal assets, or clear his personal liabilities (and he may have signed for some things of the business personally too).
If it isn't a separate legal entity....than it is just like all other things the person owns. And a personal BK includes everything you own and everything you owe. You do not pick and chose what is included or not. (Some things, while included, may be classified as exempt).

What is the Relationship between accounting department and other departments?
What is the Relationship between accounting department and other departments?
All departments and their activities results in one thing: profit (or lack thereof). Everything any department does has an affect on the bottom line. Every single thing a person in each department does affects it (no matter how minor). In that respect, accounting's purpose is to track all of that, translate it into revenue or expense, and report out to stakeholders and managers. These reports then get consolidated and determine the company's profit/loss and its share value.

What is absolute assurance?
What is absolute assurance?
Absolute Assurance is the highest level of assurance an auditor can give, if s/he checks each and every transaction. Therefore, absolute assurance is the level of assurance that can only be given if the auditor does not perform sampling testing. However, because of the time and costs involved, it is not feasible for an auditor to give 100% level of assurance. With much fewer costs and time involved, s/he will be able to provide around 60% level of assurance by providing what is called Reasonable Assurance.

Why wealth maximization is considered to be better operating goal than Profit maximization?
Why wealth maximization is considered to be better operating goal than Profit maximization?
requently, maximization of profits is regarded as the proper objective of the firm, but it is not as inclusive a goal as that of maximizing stockholder wealth. For one thing, total profits are not as important as earnings per stock. A firm could always raise total profits by issuing stock and using the proceeds to invest in Treasury bills. Even maximization of earnings per stock, however, is not a fully appropriate objective, partly because it does not specify the timing or duration of expected returns. Is the investment project that will produce a $100,000 return 5 years from now more valuable than the project that will produce annual returns of $15,000 in each of the next 5 years? An answer to this question depends upon the time value of money. Few existing stockholders would think favorably of a project that promised its first return in 100 years, no matter how large this return. We must take into account the time pattern of returns in our analysis.Another shortcoming of the objective of maximizing earnings per stock is that it does not consider the risk or uncertainty of the prospective earnings stream. Some investment projects are far more risky than others. As a result, the prospective stream of earnings per stock would be more uncertain if these projects were undertaken. In addition, a company will be more or less risky depending upon the amount of debt in relation to equity in its capital structure. This financial risk is another uncertainty in the minds of investors when they judge the firm in the marketplace. Finally, an earnings per stock objective does not take into account any dividend the company might pay.For the reasons given, an objective of maximizing earnings per stock may not be the same as maximizing market price per stock. The market price of a firm's stock represents the value that market participants place on the firm

Is buying or making food more economical?
That depends on your situation. If you have space to store food (both to prepare, and already prepared) and adequate time to prepare it, making your own can save you a bundle. If you don't have space for storage or time to cook, buying might prove to be cheaper. It's not healthy to eat only prepackaged foods; fresh or close to fresh is best.

What does England and the us congress have in common?
What does England and the us congress have in common?
The English system of government is similar to the U.S. system of government in many respects because, of course, the founders of the U.S. were English. They took what they believed were the best parts of English representation, looked back at Antiquity and looked at the Athenian democracy as well as Rome's early constitution, and weaved these into the three branches of the U.S. government. The U.S. Legislative Branch consists of two bodies: the House of Representatives and the Senate. Athens and Rome had their Senate; England has in their Parliament the House of Lords and House of Commons. The U.S. founders took the Senate of Athens and Rome and combined it with the English House of Commons for what they believed would be an adequate representation of the people they wanted to govern.

Where you can find an example of a risk inventory listing assets and liabilities of a typical company i think this question is appropriate for a risk manager?
Where you can find an example of a risk inventory listing assets and liabilities of a typical company i think this question is appropriate for a risk manager?
The option is far to broad. You are asking for a typical company. However, there are a vast array of companys in differing sectors. Each has its own core and suplimentry risk assessment types.
The most appropriate way of doing this is to actually break yourcompany down in to departments. Each will have core (the same riskareas as other departments) and suplimentry, those specific to therole of that area.
Once you ideanify what the risks are to that department running andby this we have to take in to account, technical failure, climatefailure and attack then you will have the responses require to thequestion. Re,member you are looking at the risks at a company levelnot at the lecal department.
Therefore as an example take the it section.
Q1. What will you do if
1.1.1 The is a power failure na dall systems are close down.
This is the risk - you then identify at what level that is, is itRED CRISIS, Yellow Important (meaning) but we could still functionwith limited resourse for X hours
Green it will casue an issue but nothing that will stop the companymeeting its requirements
Each risk will need to be given a impact score - traffic lights aregood. Each will have to have a account for a contingency that IS inplace in the event it occers - This will be also given a trafficlight - red of course menans we have NOTHING in place if thishappens
Each contingency must be reviewed as being in place and people areaware of what to do in the event that the worst happens.

Why does buying a corporate bond involve less risk than buying stock in the same corporation?
When a company faces near bankruptcy and needs to liquidate its assets, the first claim will be given to the creditors before the stockholders. The bond represents the debt of a company. Hence, it is the company's legal obligation to settle it.While the stockholders will just share the gains and as well as the losses of the company.

You are very close to buying a Acer 3ur18650f3ur18650f 3 qc151 battery for your laptop How long does the 9-cell battery last Should you buy a second one Can people recommend this for you Thanks?
Well, I too almost bought a Acer 3ur18650f,3ur18650f 3 qc151 battery! But what you want to do, you decide yourself. Some people buy an extra battery just because it will act as a backup for them when the primary ones runs out of juice. A typical battery lasts about 2 hours before it goes down. I have a feeling that if you buy the battery separately from DELL, the price is dearer? Did you check that one out? I think it's in the accessories section of their website. A nine cell battery is a good choice because my colleague bought DELL's six cell battery and her battery goes flat very quickly. It also depends on what you do in the time the laptop is being used, the power saver options on my laptop determines how long it keeps going. Maybe there can help you:http://www.power-battery.com.au/battery.php/acer_3ur18650f-3-qc228_3276_70305.htm So what do you do then? The lifetime of a battery is about 5 years or so.

What US taxpayer is most likely to be audited?
What US taxpayer is most likely to be audited?
You can be audited randomly for prior 3 tax years, however, there are some 'red flags' that will increase your chances of an audit.
- Low income / deduction ratio: the IRS will look at your income vs your deductions. If your deductions are proportionately higher than average considering your income, you may face an audit.
- Many dependants: if you consistently take several dependants, and every year they are different children, and you are claiming Earned Income Credit, you may be at higher risk for an audit.
- Any return with Earned Income Credit, Self Employment, Unusually high gains or losses from stock, or above average job/education expenses may face audit.
High Earned Income Credit / Low Income combination is the most common reason for review. However, many taxpayers get their returns pulled for 'review' and not an actual audit. in a review, the IRS simply digs a little deeper looking for inconsistencies compared to prior years. Most taxpayers don't even realize their return was ever reviewed prior to release of refund.

What are the annual paperwork and filing requirements for a nonprofit corp?
What are the annual paperwork and filing requirements for a nonprofit corp?
Not-for-profit status is determined by your state laws when the organization is formed. Tax-exempt status is recognized by the IRS based on information submitted to it. That is the only way to obtain such status officially. There are multiple categories provided under section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC).Being a not-for-profit company may or may not have an effect on sales tax and franchise tax filing, depending on your state, and on what type of tax-exempt status you have - that is, whether you are 501c3, 501c6, etc. You need to check with your state comptroller's office or state secretary of state. You may have to file a federal form 990 tax return depending on the organization's annual gross income, although these regulations change from time to time. State income or other tax return requirements will vary be state. If a non-profit organization solicits for donations having a "charitable purpose", the state attorney general's office may require registration and annual reporting of how the money was collected and disbursed.
These are the basics, although the potential scenarios are too varied to be any more specific. It really depends on your state and the IRS status. If the non-profit organization is involved in any regulated industry, there may be additional annual licensing or reporting requirements. For example, a fire department may need to certify its membership list to a state agency annually, or complete some on-going licensing requirements.

Would Ex spouse have rights over common law partner?
Would Ex spouse have rights over common law partner?
Yes, after breaking up with a common-law partner there are very little rights, unless there is children involved.
A bit more:
That depends on what sort of rights you mean, as well as in what state they reside. An ex spouse would have no rights over a common law partner, except in the case of children the ex spouse had with the common law partner. Other than that, there are no rights the ex spouse would have over the common law partner.
If you were married and are now divorced, and your ex spouse is now living with a common law partner, you have no rights over that common law partner (excluding their children).
More detail would make it much easier to provide a more accurate answer, which you can post in the discussion section of the Q&A.

If you own a small business with its own tax id number is that business included in a chapter 7 personal bankruptcy?
Well no to the degree the business has nothing to do with your personal BK...it makes no difference to it.
However, your personal ownership of the business (just like if you invested/owned stock in any company and it had value), may well become something that the creditors would want to pay your personal debts. And they certainly would at least want to see that you didn't hide any personal assets under the name of the business...like the business owns the cars and the boat and the vacation house....and has undistributed earnings...don't laugh - many people try this).

Is there a difference between corporate profit maximization and maximization of shareholder wealth?
Is there a difference between corporate profit maximization and maximization of shareholder wealth?
Sure, profit maximization relates to profits *only* while shareholder wealth also involves total company equity, debt ratios and any of 15 other financial performance measure ratios. Management could focus on profit maximization over a longer period of time, say, 40 years (Toyota), while the shareholder would rather see stock values and corporate total value increase immediately (get in and get out) (90% of American manufacturers). If management focused on short-term profit maximization, say at the expense of long term sales revenues, then shareholder wealth (stock price) could actually decrease as a result of the loss of market share. The conflict of interests between shareholders and executives is an example of the "principle-agent problem."

Why is effective stock management important for business?
every department in a business plays an important role in business and also stock department is very important for an organization . growth of business is depend on profit of that enterprise & profit maximisation of a enterprise is depend on sale of that business is increases when if they complete information about stock .
Also, there are many costs that a business incurs when it is both out of stocks and in excess stocks.
For example, having too much stocks might cause certain stock holding costs such as the rent for building used, the risk of natural disasters, fire or theft etc. also the opportunity cost of the capital that is tied up in this way is very high
Also, having very little stocks is also dangerous. The businesses might not be able to satisfy customers who come with a sudden demand. They lose customer loyalty. How do you deal with moral dilemmas?
How do you deal with moral dilemmas?
It depends on the morals and ethics of the society in which you live.
Morals and ethics change somewhat over time and vary in different societies,
and also within societies - there is no single answer.
Consult with someone you respect.
Morals and ethics are not covered specifically by the legislation of a country but are often reflected in the laws made. If it is not illegal is is usually moral but not always.
Another source to consider is any religious affiliation you may have, though what one religious group believes moral may not be considered so by another one.

Effect of portfolio diversification on risk?
Effect of portfolio diversification on risk?
This is a common question I see that I have seen answered in many different ways. The simple answer is it does decrease risk, but the amount of decrease varies. It should also be noted that when risk is decreased, return is also decreased. This phenomenon brings the sharp ratio into effect, but I digress, let's get back to the question at hand.
Diversification will lower the variance of your overall portfolio. This in essence is why your risk is reduced. The more investment vehicles you posses, the less likely all of them will crash at once.

It should also be noted that when risk is decreased, return is also decreased. This phenomenon brings the sharp ratio into effect, but I digress, let's get back to the question at hand.

What is the difference between sincerely and warm wishes in an email or Best wishes?
"Sincerely" is the most neutral close that is used in correspondence. "Sincerely yours" would be used for a more formal complimentary close. (Please note; "Whenever the letter writer adds the word "yours" to their complimentary close, it tends to make the close more formal. You would use this more formal form if your letter were addressed to a dignitary or high-ranking official.) "Warm wishes" or "Best wishes" are both comparable to "Regards and Best Regards" and are considered to be an informal type of close. It would be appropriate to use an informal close if you are on a first-name basis and have a friendly, personal relationship and/or a long-term business/working relationship.Hope this helps! :)

How does quality management impact organizational performance?
How does quality management impact organizational performance?
Quality management is essential for superior performance. the customer needs to be given a product of consistent superior quality as good or better than its substitutes. Quality control is very important as a business might start out well but if it does not have controls in place to effectively maintain quality, it would lose customers to competitors. It is important to consider the quality-price tradeoff, sometimes significant improvements in quality may not be a good idea if they raise price too much

If you use it to teach, 50-100K.
If you use it write books, you could starve or retire off the income.
If you use it to run money, you'll probably start between 80-100K as an analyst, moving up to 300-500K range if you're good and over a million if you're the portfolio manager.

How do you find the perimeter using area?
How do you find the perimeter using area?
Perimeter and area have a relationship but the shape of the space and area together determine the perimeter.
A circle has the maximum Area for a given perimeter -or- the minimum perimeter for a given area.
Area = pi * radius * radius and perimeter = 2*pi * radius
for a circle; perimeter = 2* pi * square root of (Area/pi)
With regards to square and rectangles the closer a shape is to square the greater the Area for a given perimeter -or- the minimum the perimeter to a given area.
Square Area = side * side and periemter = 4 * side
So perimeter = 4 * square root (Area)
To solve for a rectangle, you must know ONE side to solve as the relationship between the Area and the perimeter is change as the relative size of side1 and side 2 changes.
Rectangle Area = side1 * side2 and perimeter = 2 * (side1 + side2)
so perimeter = 2 * (Area/side1 + side1) or 2 * (Area/side2 + side2)

What are the six conditions for perfect competition?
What are the six conditions for perfect competition?
These are the requirements for perfect competition:1) Many buyers, so that no buyer can by himself influence prices or production.2) Many sellers, so that no seller can influence the price by himself, but instead must offer a price that is competitive with those of his rival sellers. Sellers are "price takers," as opposed to "price makers."3) Homogenous goods, so that there are no competing alternatives to a good because they're all pretty much the same (e.g. nails). No matter whether you buy from Seller A or Seller B, you'll get the exact same thing.4) Both buyers and sellers have perfect information about the market, so errors in judgment or mere rumors won't influence the behavior of buyers and/or sellers.5) Low barriers to entry and exit: anyone can get into the business of selling a profitable good (or leave the business when the product is no longer profitable). So when one seller offers a new product that everyone wants to buy, under pefect competition, anyone else can get into the business of selling that product too. Suddenly the first seller will find he has a lot of competition in selling it. But "many sellers" is in keeping with perfect competition.6) Sellers aim to maximize profits: Sellers will keep selling to all the buyers out there as long as they can cover their marginal costs of producing the product they sell.

What is text of SWIFT MT199 swift message?
Hi. Some MT(which stands for message type) are just the format of the transfer including all the data, like the MT202, which refers to a cover payment and you can only see numbers, codes, and information regarding the banks. A Mt199 Swift message is what I call a "chat" message. Basically you use this format when a transfer order has been sent and you want to "talk" to the beneficiary bank in order to sort out something, or to find out if funds have been applied, or whatever. But it can be used for any other purpose. For instance, a Mt199 could go;
We refer to our Mtxxx, date xxxxxx,
(input information regarding the orderer and beneficiary. amount, dates, blah, blah, blah)
and then, straight to the point, you just simply type the text of your question, or demand, or whatever, like, "Our customer reports funds have not been applied yet, please confirm transfer status"
Kind regards, (whoever)
The other bank will reply to you using the same format (most likely), so sooner or later, you will have an incoming Mt199 from them, like;
We refer to your mt199 date xxxxx and our Mtxxx date xxxx
information, codes, etc...
"We are holding funds, request (whatever additional information) in order to apply funds to beneficiary minus our charges. Please confirm IBAN number (for example)."
Best Regards, (whoever)
So basically, a mt199 is one person "talking" to another.

Which type of business organization in the US currently has the lowest average profit margin?
Which type of business organization in the US currently has the lowest average profit margin?
It depends if you consider "lowest average profit" in the context of local businesses only, or the international market. I'm assuming since you're talking about profit margins, that your question is going to exclude non-profit public services like the U.S. Postal Service or public schools.
Anyways, I would guess the biofuels industry would have the lowest, or soon to be the lowest profit margins in the international context. This is because unlike most industries, it's not purely profit driven; it receives much of it's support from political/nationalist intent (not being reliant on Middle Eastern nations for oil).
The reason this is so unprofitable is because wheat biofuels yield 140% the energy required to produce it. However, South American sugar cane biofuels can produce up to 900% the energy required to produce it. South American nations also have much larger stretches of fertile land and longer growing seasons than North America. Hence they cannot only make vastly higher quality fuel, but make it in vastly larger quantities. Additionally, converting ALL of America's wheat farms to biofuel production would only fulfill about 1/10th of their current oil demands...
In short, the American biofuel industry was doomed from the start, in terms of global economics. Much like Germany's coal-to-oil conversion technology developed during WW2, the only conceivable way it could become useful is if one is unable to trade with the outside world. Unless America is embargoed by the U.N. or the global economy crashes it will be safe to assume that American biofuel production will always maintain a negative profit margin.

What is the major theoretical framework of research?
What is the major theoretical framework of research?
If you find yourself asking this question, you are likely in the initial stages of research because most scholars would probably agree on the simple answer: there is none.
Or rather, perhaps more fairly, it depends. Different fields undergo various trends of theoretical influence. For example, the Cold War brought about a dominance of certain kinds of thinking in different parts of the world, something which not only affected policymakers but academics as well.
It is important to note though that the premise of the question is slightly flawed. By asking for the "major" framework, there is implied a quality of value. Theoretical frameworks are not stagnant; many carry with them long histories and an on-going dialogue over its place in a given field. To engage in an academic debate, it is necessary to know what is being done in the here and now, and overall understanding how your research fits into the field at large.
Similarly, you must first be specific as to what research you are interested in. Clearly different fields have different theories.
In short, if anyone were to answer this in a straight-forward way (e.g. realism!), they are doing a disservice to the heart of the inquiry.

It's the right fit for my skills, experience, interests.
It could be just what I need at this stage in my career.
I enjoy doing this kind of work and it would give me useful opportunities given my specific skills.
Of course, it helps if the answer you choose fits your situation. You can't easily put on a show of enthusism for a job if it's too far removed from your real interests.

How can you calculate occupancy rate of an assisted living facility?
How can you calculate occupancy rate of an assisted living facility?
Divide current occupancy by the total possible occupancy and multiply by 100.
For example:
If a facility has a total possible occupancy of 100 and the current occupancy is 75 then the occupancy rate is 75%.
75 / 100 * 100 = 75 %
If you do not multiply by 100 then you have the answer as a decimal fraction.

Try Systat 12. It has a special startup module that is designed for market research.Or if you have more specialized needs you might try Stata 10. It has many specialized routines that may suit your needs. Stata is reasonably priced and you can download the specialized routines as needed.SAS of course is much broader than either Systat or Stata but it is expensive for a annual license. You have to renew your license after a year. The licences for Stata and Systat are perpetual. My suggestion is go to the Stata website and look at their available functions -- see if any of them are what you need. You can also try Systat for free. When you start Systat tell it to load the marketing startup screen. The menus options will change to a marketing analysis format.Bottom line: try the package and see if it works for you.Hope this helps.
