What is the average income of Ph.D in finance?
A PhD isn't a job, it's a credential, but most people who get them either want to teach, write, or run money, so I'll address those three:
If you use it to teach, 50-100K.
If you use it write books, you could starve or retire off the income.
If you use it to run money, you'll probably start between 80-100K as an analyst, moving up to 300-500K range if you're good and over a million if you're the portfolio manager.
Salary.com is a good resource if you have a particular field in mind.
