Technology is driven by zeros and ones (on and off) This is the language of the Computer chip.
Around every person is a necessity to handle numbers at some level countless times a day ( forgive the pun).
Time, estimation of size, weights volumes - These are used in something as simple as cooking to feed oneself. Without Number skills people would eventually fade out
