What is the meaning of strategic posturing?
A strategic posture defines the intent of a strategy in relation to the current and future market place. There are three basic postures.

Shape the future:
The firms plays a leadership role in setting standards, creating new demand and markets and innovative or disruptive technology.
Adapt to the Future:
A posture requiring speed and agility in taking advantage of existing opportunities with in the market place.
Reserving the right to play:
Investing enough to stay in the game, but avoiding over or premature commitment.
