Group work can be described as as situation where two or more people are working together to achieve a set goal or objective. This goal or objective is seen as the corporate goal and should have overriding preference over individual goals.Group in this sense can be regarded as a system where the individual compenents or segments is expected to contribute. Please do not forget the saying that "a chain is as strong as its weakest point." In a group, every member is expected to bring something on the the table.Effective group management is about relationship management, and the level of how well we relate will determine the level of our success as a group. Relationship is a function of individuals involved, which has a corrolation with personalities.Our role and disposition in a group is determined by who we are; this our conducts, charisma, passion, etc. As I mentioned earlier on, the success of a group is determined by the individuals in that group; and the success of an individual is a function of his/her personality.
