Why is it important to overcome a parochial view in business?
we live in an increasingly interconnected,globalised busines world so it makes sense to keep tuned into what's happening in the wider environment.Take the car industry as an example-oil price increases,foreign competition,consumer demand for greener,safer cars-these all impact on different sectors of this industry.How the industry adapts or fails to adapt to these trends will be influenced by how quickly these challenges are seen on the horizon.The ostrich is not a good role model for coping with change.
