Is your boss allowed to embarrass me at work if any of us are late or somebody gets fired she puts our name on all the whiteboards and in all the patient rooms and lets everybody know we were?
If your boss is trying to be even a little funny, there is no place for this in the workplace regarding the reprimanding or firing of an employee, no matter the reason the employee is being reprimanded or fired. The "Boss" has no authority to deliberately embarrass any employee.
Most companies have a Human Resources Officer or Representative and this is the person you should speak to the very first time anyone does or says something inappropriate at the workplace.
