"Pint" is a relative term. I doubt that you are refering to the "US dry pint", so let's just ignore that issue. As a liquid measurement, a pint is normally 1/8 of a gallon. The UK uses the IMPERIAL gallon (160 fluid ounces), so in the UK a pint is 20 fluid ounces. In the US, where a gallon is 128 fluid ounces, a pint is 16 fluid ounces -- a US pint of water weighs a bit more than one pound, but this holds true only for water. Since "pint" is a measure of volume, not weight, a pint of some other liquid will weigh more or less than water.
As to four pints...well there is no separate base-word that equates to four pints. Two pints is a quart. Four pints equals one half-gallon if that is any help to you. In the US, this would be 64 fluid ounces. In the UK, it would be 80 fluid ounces.
