What was life like during the 1870s?

What was life like during the 1870s?
life in the 1870's was not depressing they way they lived is remarkable.
they did not have what we have today, poor kids went to school up to the age of 12 then joined the rest of the poor people in factories to work as for the richer kids children went to school then high school and had much more advantages then poor people
