investment security: high-rise buildings provide safety of investment because of the numbers involved, amenities and facilities, good maintenance etc. There is more transaction in this kind of property (as opposed to independent houses) thus these are easily trade-able. Migrant population prefers to buy/hire apartments in high-rise for various reasons as described below . . .emotional security: man is a social animal and needs society to relate to, a high-rise provides an opportunity to meet and mingle with like-minded people in a small cluster, children get a ready made circle of friends, local festivals etc are celebrated in an organized fashion etc.physical security: features such as gated community, multi-floors acts as an automatic deterrent for thieves and thus one of the primary needs in buying a house is satisfied.well being: a feeling of spaciousness as one looks out of the windows and balconies of a high rise gives the mind a sense openness and feeling of well being and coupled with fresh air and sunlight it really helps the mind and body.
