America will ever be a third world country?
It is possible in the distant future, powers rise and fall with time. Iraq was once the seat of civilization there are written histories for the middle east datinmg back thousands of years while The US and Europe have no written history for that time, so yeah it probably will be.

The original definition of 3rd world country is that of a country that stands neutral during the Cold War. They are also called non-aligned countries (hence, the Non-Aligned Movement). The 1st world countries are those that aligned itself with the United States. The 2nd World Countries are the Commies. That includes Soviet and China even though these two are not necessarily allies.

I don't think it's possible for US to not align to itself.

On the other hand, categories like 1st, 2nd and 3rd world countries are now useless because there's no more Cold War.
