Who is Canada's receiver general?
As of her appointment on 19 January 2010, the Honourable Rona Ambrose, P.C., M.P., is the Receiver General of Canada. She was appointed by Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michalle Jean, the Governor General of Canada, on the advice of the Right Honourable Stephen Harper, the prime minister. The Receiver General is not usually appointed as a separate role, but as an additional role for whoever is appointed as the Minister of Public Works and Government Services.
