Every business in the environment will contribute to the environment. These businesses will employ people, pay taxes to the government, and sell products or services which may be unavailable or not cost effective for the individual to produce for himself. The small businesses can contribute help to the local community like this:
most of the employees will be local, so their earnings will be spent locally.The business will be focusing a certain portion of spending (such as advertising dollars) more locally (because that is where the customers are), which will keep more money in the community.
